Hello again! I would like to talk about something that will make you stop and think about the spirit world... or at least I hope that it does. It is a common myth, that people assume that ghosts or paranormal activity only happens in abandoned buildings or well-known haunted sites or old locations... AND where people died. Some of that may well be true BUT the truth is far more interesting. Some of the most compelling evidence I’ve captured, real ghosts caught on camera, intelligent orbs, and energy changes have happened in the ordinary places we all move through every day, be it in hotels, pubs, and even my own offices.

Barry and I investigate these locations because these places also hold stories. Some are peaceful, some are unsettling, and some refuse to stay quiet for long. So, when a room feels “wrong,” when a corridor carries an atmosphere that you just can’t explain, when staff report footsteps in an empty hallway, this is where it is the MOST fun place to be, and that is certainly when the work begins.

Am I Scared?

At times, I suppose I am yes. Any honest investigator feels fear at times. Now, have I said I am not going back to that room alone? Absolutely. Yet, remember that fear is also information. It signals that something is happening, that your senses are heightened, and that the moment demands further consideration. Over time, fear or rather awareness of your feelings becomes part of the skillset, not a barrier as such but rather than an internal compass.

Truthfully, the most frightening moments are often the most rewarding. They tend to produce the strongest evidence and the closest encounters and that's why we do it right?

Why try to record a ghost?

I investigate to understand what happens after this life. I think it brings reassurance closer to me. Also, it begins to answer some of the questions why... Why some remain and why some choose to go? Like any research project, one has to be guided by curiosity and intrigue, and driven by passion.

When my cameras capture movement, or the glide of an orb responding with intelligent timing, a distortion in the air column that defies environmental logic, my goal is never to create fear, the goal is to uncover a truth, however subtle, however unexpected, and however it chooses to reveal itself.

I’ve captured, real ghosts caught on camera, spirits in places most people never expect, my hotel rooms while I am sleeping, my office and corridors, even the comfort of my own home. It often happens when I’m not actively searching but simply paying attention. A sudden shift in the atmosphere, a movement at the edge of vision, a temperature drop that doesn’t align with the environment, these moments prompt me to lift the camera and press record, and more often than not, something responds.

Hotels in particular are rich with residual and intelligent energy. People pass through carrying their emotions, stresses, grief, celebrations, and sometimes much more. Those imprints settle, replay, or come forward when a sensitive observer enters the space with the right equipment and an open mind.

Workplaces and domestic environments reveal a different kind of presence, one woven more intimately into daily routines. Spirits in these settings often behave subtly, objects shifting, light anomalies moving with purpose, a shadow cutting across a wall that should be empty.

So, the most compelling evidence I’ve captured has not come from dramatic locations, but from everyday spaces where people live, work, and rest. These encounters remind me that the paranormal is not confined to old legends or abandoned buildings. It’s woven into the fabric of our normal lives, waiting for someone willing to notice, document, and investigate.
