A Paranormal Night at Ringwood Meeting House

An impressive façade leads to an amazing inner space
Ringwood Meeting House

In the quiet stillness of Ringwood Meeting House, the atmosphere was respectfully stirred by a private and exclusive paranormal investigation hosted by Spectral Nights. This wasn't just another ghost hunt, it was a night of intuition, presence, and the subtle blurring of worlds.

The Meeting House, built in 1727 by a group of Presbyterian dissenters, has long carried whispers of the past in its timber and stone. On the night of the investigation, with just a select few investigators present, including myself, an experienced paranormal investigator. The historic building seemed to exhale a story waiting to be uncovered.

A Serene Calmness

Right from the beginning of the evening, there was a gentle calmness to the atmosphere, somewhat serene, but undeniably a feeling of being watched from a distance. There was no malevolence, only the quiet tension of spirits that were aware and perhaps, I believe, curious. While walking through the building, I remarked to my colleague Barry, of the sensation of being in the presence of someone strict, a somewhat dominant energy, not threatening, but firm. Perhaps one of the original ministers still presiding in spirit over his sacred space? Curiously, the lower level of the Meeting House held back any sense of childlike playful energy. I felt that children’s spirits seemed present… but distant. As if they were not permitted to venture too far, cerubaly not to the pews above, perhaps a residual echo of social divisions from when the Meeting House was in regular use. Could it have been the family children kept apart from those in the public pews?

Equipment in use at Ringwood Meeting House

Throughout the night, various forms of equipment were employed to capture activity. My own EMF meters flashed with responses in key areas, and my IR camera picked up orb activity. I particularly enjoy those seemingly appearing in strings, a phenomenon already familiar from previous investigations. Cat balls lit in answer to nothing visible, and a sense of deliberate energy hung in the air. One area in particular stood out for its heightened activity, where audible bangs, whistles, and even a low growl were heard. The team paused often to acknowledge and analyse these moments, ensuring each was catalogued carefully.

My colleague Barry, another key investigator that evening, picked up EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena) while the rest of the host team used an impressive array of tech including Apps, spirit boxes and SLS / movement cameras. Despite the range of equipment, no spirit names or direct verbal communication came through for me although it did for them on these devices. I tend to prefer the traditional methods for there more objective tendency. The lack of contact therefore leads to an open question: were the spirits trying to make contact, but unable to? Or perhaps unwilling or not ready?

The night held an almost dreamlike quality, particularly for myself, and having previously blogged about unsettling dreams in the lead-up to this event. The atmosphere echoed those visions, shifting energy, clusters of soft glowing orbs, and a deep-rooted presence that seemed to acknowledge their arrival before I even stepped foot inside.

Conclusions

As the investigation wrapped up, a shared sentiment emerged: more time was needed. More quiet hours in the Meeting House, perhaps alone, to truly connect with what lies beneath its peaceful surface. There was a sense that the spirits were aware of the team but not yet ready to fully reveal themselves. I believe that they were watching... and waiting.

A full video of the investigation will be released soon, capturing moments of energy, curiosity, and presence that words alone cannot fully convey.
