Have you ever woken from a dream that felt incredibly real? Dreams can linger with us long after the morning light appears. For many, a dream is merely a processing of experiences or learnings. Yet, in the paranormal realm, dreams often hold deeper meanings. Sometimes, they serve as warnings or invitations. And at other times, they may be something entirely different.
Rumours of Spirit Interactions
It is often whispered among paranormal investigators that spirits might reach out ahead of an upcoming investigation. This is especially true if they sense help is on the way. Some spirits, however, do not wish to move on. A seasoned investigator once told me that they often try to deter individuals from their path.
A friend recently faced such an experience. He prepared for a sensitive investigation at an old property where the current owner had felt watched, uneasy, and occasionally overwhelmed. In the days leading up to the investigation, he awoke one night to a strong scent of smoke. Alarmed, he searched his house, convinced something was burning. Yet, he found nothing. Oddly, the property owner reported the same experience. A third team member had a similar story.
Coincidence? Perhaps. However, those of us who have been in the field for a while know that coincidences can accumulate, eventually feeling far from coincidental.
Do the Spirits Visit You?
My personal experience is a bit different. It was void of smoke, loud bangs, or whispers in the night—though I did hear noises that eluded explanation. Instead, it manifested as a dream that has lingered with me. It left me pondering whether it was merely a subconscious creation or something more spectral.
In this dream, I found myself engulfed in darkness. I lacked form, shape, or substance. It was not a darkness as we recognize it; rather, it felt like floating in a lightless space. Suddenly, from this void, orbs appeared. At first, they were white, then green and blue. Each orb glowed gently, drifting and swirling around me like curious fireflies. Surrounding them was a glittering dust. I felt no fear—only calmness, peace, and a presence strong enough to make me forget to be afraid.
A Shift in the Dream
Then, the atmosphere changed. A shape emerged from the darkness—something I could barely describe. It felt like a deeper darkness, a smudge of an absence that was distinctly there. It differed from the glowing orbs, absorbing all light. The orbs seemed to sense the emergence of this figure. One by one, they scattered, darting into the void, disappearing in the blink of an eye. Where peace once resided, an oppressive weight replaced it.
In that moment, I woke at 3:02 AM, surrounded by cool silence. The dream lingered. Unlike most dreams that fade away, this one has remained vivid. I can still visualize the orbs’ movements and feel the shadow's presence.
What did it mean? Was it a message or a vision? Perhaps it was a psychic echo from my upcoming investigation. Could I have been visiting a world beyond the veil?
What if the spirits knew I was coming?
Reflections on Spirit Encounters
This blog does not aim to convince you of anything. Instead, I hope to ask questions and share insights.
Do the spirits reach out to you? Do they warn you or connect in quiet moments, through dreams, the scent of smoke, or flickering lights?
The Purpose of Their Visits
What could be their intention? Are they trying to scare you away, or are they yearning for human contact?
As I prepare for my next investigation, I follow my usual routine—packing equipment and checking supplies. However, this time feels different. I sense a pull toward this case. Circumstances have aligned in a way that leaves me feeling unexpectedly observed.
Perhaps the spirits do reach out. Maybe they have already foreseen what lies ahead.
As a reminder, we—it’s essential they know—come in peace, with respect, and a thirst for knowledge.
The adventure beyond the veil continues.
In exploring the unknown, we open ourselves to experiences that can change our understanding of reality. Dreams can be powerful, serving as conduits between worlds.
The mystery of these visits and their meanings might unfold as we journey further into these encounters. Understanding their essence gives us insight into the relationship between our world and the unexplained phenomena that surround us.
