People often ask why I sit down the next day, following a long night of ghost hunting, to write everything up—every moment, every feeling, every flicker of activity. For me, blogging isn’t just an add-on to the investigation; it’s the natural continuation of it. When you spend hours in dark rooms, abandoned corridors, historic pub cellars, and places full of stories that refuse to die, something happens inside you. The experience sits there buzzing, alive, and writing is how I honour it. I suppose I blog because I genuinely can’t keep these moments to myself.
The Thrill of the Experience
Part of it is excitement. After an investigation, I’m still carrying the energy of the night—the atmosphere, the unanswered questions, the strange coincidences, and the flashes of genuine evidence that make your skin get goosebumps! Writing gives me a chance to relive it, to process it, and to share that sense of wonder with anyone who wants to come along for the ride. Every location leaves its own mark, and once I start typing, the whole night comes back to life all over again.
People Are Interested in Ghost Hunts (I Hope)...
Another part of my desire to write is the interest people have. Over time, I’ve realised just how many people are fascinated by what we do. They want to follow the story. They want to understand the activity, the emotions, and the discoveries. Some people read because they’re believers. Some read because they’re sceptics who enjoy the mystery. Some read because they simply enjoy a good story. Whatever the reason, I write because people care, and because these encounters deserve to be told, discussed, and passed on.
Documenting My Truth
At its core, I blog because I want to document my truth. There’s no film crew behind us. No dramatic music. No special effects or screaming. Just me, Barry, and the spirits... if they choose to engage. Writing allows me to capture the honest experience behind the investigation: the real energy, the unfiltered emotion, the times when everything makes sense, and the many moments when absolutely nothing does. This is my record, my interpretation, and my way of leaving a trail for anyone who might one day try to understand these things a little more deeply.

The Power of Partnership
Teaming up with Barry only strengthened my purpose. He brings a sensitivity and instinct that perfectly complements my more analytical side. When we work together, we don’t just collect evidence; we create a shared narrative. Some of our strongest moments have come from that dynamic: me observing a shift in atmosphere while Barry suddenly reacts to something unseen, or him sensing a presence just before I catch movement on camera. It’s a partnership that works, and it’s a huge part of why the blog continues to grow.
The Future... Join Us On The Journey
This is only the beginning. Ghosts on Tap is coming, and more books are already lined up behind it. Each investigation seems to lead us toward the next. There are stories waiting to be uncovered, and I fully intend to keep writing them.
So if you enjoy what I share, I’d be grateful if you helped spread the word. Introduce the blog to someone new. Share it. Mention it. Pass it on. The more people who read these experiences, the more alive they become, and the more this strange, fascinating journey continues to unfold...
The Call to Adventure
As I sit here, reflecting on all the ghostly encounters, I can’t help but feel a sense of anticipation. What will we discover next? What stories are waiting to be told? It’s like standing at the edge of a vast, mysterious forest, knowing that every step forward could lead to something extraordinary.
Imagine the thrill of stepping into a haunted location, the air thick with history and whispers of the past. You can almost feel the spirits lingering, waiting for someone to acknowledge their presence. It’s an invitation to explore, to uncover truths that have long been hidden. And I want to take you with me on this journey...
The Community of Ghost Hunters
One of the most rewarding aspects of this adventure is the community we’ve built. It’s not just about me and Barry anymore; it’s about all of us who share a passion for the paranormal. We exchange stories, tips, and experiences, creating a tapestry of knowledge that enriches our understanding.
Have you ever had a ghostly encounter? Or perhaps you’ve felt a chill in the air that you couldn’t explain? These moments connect us, reminding us that we’re not alone in our curiosity. Each story adds a layer to our collective experience, and I encourage you to share yours.
The Tools of the Trade
As we delve deeper into the world of ghost hunting, the tools we use play a crucial role. From EMF detectors to spirit boxes, each piece of equipment has its purpose. But let’s be honest—sometimes it’s not about the gadgets. It’s about intuition, connection, and the energy of the location.
I remember one night, standing in an old, abandoned asylum. The air was thick with tension, and I felt a presence beside me. No gadget could measure that feeling. It was raw, visceral, and utterly captivating.
The Importance of Education
As we continue this journey, education becomes vital. Understanding the history of a location, the types of spirits we might encounter, and the theories behind paranormal activity enhances our investigations. That’s why I’m committed to providing engaging content and practical courses through Ghost Hunter.
Whether you’re a seasoned ghost hunter or just starting, there’s always something new to learn. Together, we can uncover the supernatural truths that lie just beyond our perception.
